A doctoral thesis at the University of Basrah discusses the Optimizing and Designing the Algorithm Program of Bioinformatics Application in Gene expressing and Predicting.

The doctoral thesis, submitted to the College of Science, Biology Department, University of Basrah, was titled " Optimizing and Designing the Algorithm Program of Bioinformatics Application in Gene expressing and Predicting." The thesis, by PhD student Hala Fadhil Hassan, aimed to highlight the most important modern practical applications of bioinformatics in the field of biotechnology, specifically in analyzing nitrogenous base sequences and predicting gene expression levels. The discussion also highlighted the doctoral research project, which is the first of its kind in Basra and Iraq. This project involved applying a genetic algorithm program used in biotechnology to identify DNA changes and determine gene expression levels within the field of bioinformatics. Additionally, 28 bacterial isolates were registered globally in the American, European, and Japanese gene banks.
