



The Department of Physics at the College of Science, University of Basra, organized a workshop titled )Metamaterials and Their Applications in Medical and Biomedical Physics(, featuring presentations by Dr. Rania Muslim Daoud, Dr. Raad Adnan Abdul Nabi, and Dr. Dalia Kazim Katah.
The workshop aimed to highlight the unique electromagnetic properties of metamaterials and their role in the development of modern medical and biomedical applications.
The workshop included a review of the theoretical foundations of these materials and their design mechanisms, as well as their applications in medical imaging, biosensing, and improving the performance of antennas and wearable devices.
The workshop emphasized the importance of supporting applied research and linking theoretical studies to modern medical and engineering technologies.
