The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar regarding contamination by polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the main streets of Basrah Governorate.

The seminar, presented by Master’s student Aisha Muhannad Fadhil, aimed to introduce these hydrocarbons, their classifications, their environmental sources, and their hazardous effects on human health.

The presentation covered methods for measuring these compounds and determining their concentrations in dust, as well as techniques for identifying their potential sources within the selected areas.
